Bond hearing set for Helena parents accused of holding teen captive in basement

HELENA, Ala. (WIAT) — A bond hearing is set for Richard and Cynthia Kelly, the couple accused of locking their child in a basement, Wednesday afternoon. The two are charged with aggravated child abuse.

Investigators say they kept their 14-year-old adoptive son in isolation in a basement for an extended period of time.

Both are being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $1 million bond each.

Skoal, Copenhagen products recalled due to metal found in cans

OHIO (WKBN) – U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company is recalling some of its Skoal, Copenhagen and Husky Brand products after reports of sharp metal objects found in cans.
