‘Mindhunter’ Cast on the FBI’s Obsession, Getting Personal, and the Moments That Most Got Under Their Skin

Back in the 1970s, the focus of solving crimes was still very prominently on the “who” and the “what.” It was men like John E. Douglas and Robert Ressler, the first FBI criminal profilers on whom the lead characters of Netflix’s “Mindhunter” are loosely based, who paved the way for the “why” — a new […]

Warriors’ Klay Thompson Pledges $1,000 Per Point For North Bay Fire Victims

(RADIO ALICE) – Golden State Warriors player Klay Thompson is asking people on social media to join him in pledging money for North Bay fire victims.

The All-Star shooting guard posted a video on his Twitter account and on YouTube, saying he would pledge $1,000 per point he scores over the next three Warriors games to the Redwood Credit Union Community Fund.

The fund supports fire victims in Lake, Mendocino, Napa, and Sonoma counties, as well as first responders, kids and schools in the four counties impacted by the fires.

Last season, Thompson averaged just over 22 points per game, a career high.

“Let’s stick together because a lot of loved ones and families have been displaced and lost from these terrible events, properties have been damaged, but we can build this thing back up if we stick together and donate,” says Thompson in the video.

The posts include a link to Thompson’s at fundraising page, pledgeit.org/klay. The goal is to raise $150,000 between Thompson and individual donors.

Expect More Profanity On ‘Stranger Things 2’

(RADIO ALICE) – It looks as though we’re in for some childhood realism in the upcoming season of Netflix’ hit horror series Stranger Things. In season 2, the profanity will be more prevalent in the show’s dialogue. For the kid actors, they were damn happy about it.

At first, Netflix was concerned about the amount of cussing coming from the children. The show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer were about to cut them out. Which in-turn, upset the actors. So the Duffer Brothers reconsidered.

“We actually gave in and took out all of the bad language,” Matt Duffer tells Wired Magazine. Because the cast felt so strongly about keeping the profanity, Duffer responded to Netflix.

I wrote Netflix saying I’ve got this army of 11- and 12-year-olds and they’re pissed off that we cut all the language,” Duffer said. “At least let us shoot alternate takes. That was, like, the day before we started shooting. And then Netflix said OK.

After reviewing the first and second episodes, Netflix agreed to keep the profanity. According to Ross Duffer “They’re much more foulmouthed in Season 2 than in Season 1, but in real life it’s far worse. I’m like, I cannot believe that came out of your mouth,” he said.

The foul-mouth second season of Stranger Things premieres October 27th on Netflix.

KFC’s Twitter Only Follows 11 ‘Herbs and Spices’

KFC’s Twitter game just got a little bit more “meta” when you see that the account only follows 11 accounts. Those 11 accounts are literally all either “Herbs” or “Spices”. Spices are all five former Spice Girls – Geri Horner (née Halliwell), Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, and Victoria Beckham. The “Herbs” are all verified accounts of men named Herb like Herb Scribner (writer/producer), Herb J. Wesson, Jr. (LA Councilmember), Herb Waters (Green Bay Packers), Herb Dean (MMA fighter and trainer), Herb Sendek (Santa Clara University Head Coach), and Herb Alpert (musician). Well played KFC.

Taco Bell Is Testing A Kit Kat Quesadilla

Taco Bell is testing a dessert quesadilla at select locations in Wisconsin. The Chocoladilla or Chocodilla is a tortilla filled with chocolate and pieces of Kit Kat. The gooey dessert had previously been available only outside of the United States including UK, Brazil, and other European Taco Bell locations but if early internet buzz is any indication it will most likely be a hit stateside.

Watch ‘Sesame Street’ Parody Of ‘The Walking Dead’

Add to the list of things you thought you’d never see on Sesame Street – a The Walking Dead parody. The parody The Walking Gingerbread stars Cookie Monster as a Rick Grimes-like character of Sheriff Graham who is besieged by cannibalistic gingerbread people called “The Crumbies”.
The Crumbies come from a bad batch of cookies and are eating everyone’s cookies! The cookies are only safe if they aren’t opened. Will Sheriff Graham learn to control his hunger for everyone’s safety? Will the boxes of cookies ever be safe again?

Cookie Monster/Sheriff Graham is helped by Macaroon (Michonne) and Doughryl (Daryl Dixon) who try desperately to keep Cookie Monster from eating cookies as that attracts The Crumbies. The trio makes their way to the “Cookie Safe Zone” complete with an eye patch wearing Governor.

‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ Crossed a Murky River in Style

When “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” opened in October 1961, Variety reviewer Larry Tubelle predicted “great commercial success” for the romantic comedy. He didn’t know the half of it. The Paramount release was an immediate hit, but its popularity has increased over the years, fondly remembered as one of Hollywood’s most charming and fashion-setting movies. Its success defies explanation […]
