New Operator For Quarry Park Adventures Announced, Opening Date Coming Soon

ROCKLIN (CBS13) — A new operator for Quarry Park Adventures has been approved by the Rocklin City Council.

Adventure Operations, LLC will be the new operator of the park. Per the contract, the city and Adventure Operations will split revenue 50-50, and the park will be open seven days a week.

Previously sold pre-paid tickets, season passes and gift cards will be honored. The operator is in a three-year partnership and a 120-day termination option.

The opening date has not yet been announced but is expected this spring.

Rocklin City Sues Former Operator Of Quarry Park Adventures For Breach Of Contact, Fraud

ROCKLIN (CBS13) — The City of Rocklin filed a lawsuit against the former Quarry Park Adventures operator, Legacy Family Adventures and David Busch Wednesday.

The lawsuit alleges fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and breach of contract, among other claims.

According to a press release from the city, the city alleges that within weeks of taking control of the park, Legacy Family Adventures said they would never be able to meet key financial and attendance obligations in the operating agreement.

The city also alleged David Busch “repeatedly misrepresented his water and adventure park experience, and the amount of capital necessary to build and operate the Park.”

Rocklin ended their relationship with Legacy Family Adventures on Jan. 9 and closed the Quarry Park for the winter season.

The city council has appointed Adventure Operations, LLC the park’s new operator.

Quarry Park Adventures In Rocklin May Stay Open Year-Round If Management Company Contract Signed

ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Quarry Park Adventures in Rocklin is close to getting a new operator that would allow the park to stay open 7 days a week, year-round. The only time the park would close would be on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Rocklin ended its partnership with the previous management company, Legacy Family Adventures, in January and made the decision to close for the remainder of the winter. It should reopen in the spring, although the date hasn’t been set.

The Rocklin City Council will vote February 12th on whether to enter a three-year partnership with Adventure Operations, LLC. The term sheet shows Rocklin will pay the management company $15,300 a month from opening day until December 31, 2019. Next year the fee would change to $11,760 a month for the entire 12 months.

If the term sheet is approved a formal agreement will be voted on in March. The operator and city would split revenues 50-50.
