By Scott T. Sterling

(RADIO.COM) – Linkin Park has shared the band’s episode of Carpool Karaoke, recorded before the tragic death of singer Chester Bennington.

“With the blessings of Chester’s family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester,” reads a message posted onscreen before the clip begins.

The video kicks off with Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn along with actor Ken Jeong in a car getting ready to embark on their musical ride. What follows is a fun and funny journey as the group sings along to favorites from Linkin Park (naturally), Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more.

The episode takes things to “the next level,” as Jeong puts it, with an unexpected surprise for the last segment of the clip.

(RADIO.COM) – Miley Cyrus rode shotgun on another installment of The Late Late Show‘s “Carpool Karaoke,” cycling through her career hits and new material. Cyrus and host James Corden blasted her early material like “The Climb” and “Party In The U.S.A.” as well as songs from her new album Younger Now.

Miley also discussed her musical evolution with The Late Late Show host:

“The twerking Robin Thick VMAs led me to be the activist that I am now because I realize, if that many people are going to talk about something that I do, then I should make it a good thing,” she said. “And I should make it something that can change people’s lives rather than be a controversial conversation that does nothing but become a fun Halloween costume for people.”

In the episode’s highlight, Corden and Cyrus do their best live rendition of “Wrecking Ball.”

(RADIO.COM) – After wrapping her week-long residency on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus headed over to The Late Late Show with James Corden to join the host for Carpool Karaoke.

In a 30-second preview clip for tonight’s sketch, Corden makes a perceptive comment about Cyrus. “Your tongue makes less of an appearance today than it used to,” he jokes. Of course, Cyrus reacts by sticking out her tongue and Corden puts it to good use.

“That is a long tongue. Keep it there,” he says as he finds some stamps for Cyrus to lick.

Then, the two launch into song, belting Cyrus’ 2009 hit “Party in the USA.”

Foo Fighters Deliver Greatest Hits Set On ‘Carpool Karaoke’

VIDEO: Check out Foo Fighters on Carpool Karaoke here.

By Jon Wiederhorn

(RADIO.COM) – Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is well-known for his goofy sense of humor and willingness to collaborate. In other words, he was born to be on Carpool Karaoke. Wednesday night, James Corden drove Grohl and his bandmates around Los Angeles and they all sang a hard-rockin’ set of Foo Fighters classics. They also threw in a couple of surprises.

“It’s so difficult to beat this traffic,” griped Corden at the beginning of the sketch. “Do you mind if we listen to some music?”

As the opening chords of “All My Life” began, Grohl screamed, “Are you ready?!?” as if he was at a concert addressing the crowd.

Throughout the segment, Corden, Grohl and his bandmates air drummed, grinned and sang along to, “Best Of You,” “Learn To Fly” and the new song “The Sky Is A Neighborhood.”

Near the end of the sketch, Corden drives by Guitar Center and he, Grohl and the rest of the band get out of the van to take a look at some primo gear. Corden sits behind a drum kit and bangs on the cymbals for a few seconds, then Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins take a seat at adjacent drums and engage in a killer dual drum solo that leaves Corden in the dust.

Before the host has a chance to get mopey everyone grabs instruments and they perform a cover of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” — which they first did in public at The O2 Arena on September 19 — before a stunned crowd that gathered at the store. Corden took lead vocals, and as with the previous version, the song was imbued with elements of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

Watch the Foo Fighters’ Raucous ‘Carpool Karaoke’ With James Corden

It’s hard not to get the feeling that a big part of the Foo Fighters’ ongoing popularity is the fact that it looks like it’d be so much fun to hang out with them, and their “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden does nothing to dispel that notion. As usual, the host and the artist drive... Read more »
