Charlie Puth Loses It On Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’

By Robyn Collins

(RADIO.COM) – “This is the worst game ever.” one contestant told The Late Late Show host James Corden as he competed alongside Charlie Puth, and they were halfway into “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.”

The talk show bit takes disgusting items like jellyfish, fish eyes, turkey testes, salmon seaweed smoothies, and has the show’s guests either answer an uncomfortable question or eat an item.

Puth joined Frozen voice-actor Josh Gad, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s Rachel Bloom and Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery and Corden for a round.

However, he almost vomited multiple times. Puth explained, “People who know me, I have a very very sensitive stomach and I can’t even be around brussel sprouts let alone this stuff.”

He almost hurled when Rachel Bloom was unable to answer the name of Dockery’s ‘Downton Abbey’ character, so her team had to ingest bird saliva.

he pop star was slightly offended when Corden didn’t know the titles of three of his songs. Corden tried to explain, “I’m a 39-year old father of two.” To which Puth replied, “Yeah, but you’re cool.”

It got him a kiss on the cheek, but the host couldn’t come up with another title so he had to drink the salmon seaweed smoothie.

When Puth was asked if he would say Meghan Trainor or Selena Gomez was a better singer, he chose to eat a grasshopper, instead of answer the question. This decision would ultimately do the pop star in, causing him to use the chuck bucket to his side.

He did, however, compose himself afterwards for a performance of his single “Attention.”

Miley also discussed her musical evolution with The Late Late Show host:

“The twerking Robin Thick VMAs led me to be the activist that I am now because I realize, if that many people are going to talk about something that I do, then I should make it a good thing,” she said. “And I should make it something that can change people’s lives rather than be a controversial conversation that does nothing but become a fun Halloween costume for people.”

In the episode’s highlight, Corden and Cyrus do their best live rendition of “Wrecking Ball.”

In a 30-second preview clip for tonight’s sketch, Corden makes a perceptive comment about Cyrus. “Your tongue makes less of an appearance today than it used to,” he jokes. Of course, Cyrus reacts by sticking out her tongue and Corden puts it to good use.

“That is a long tongue. Keep it there,” he says as he finds some stamps for Cyrus to lick.

Then, the two launch into song, belting Cyrus’ 2009 hit “Party in the USA.”

VIDEO: Watch the hilarious sketch unfold here.
By Hayden Wright

(RADIO.COM) – James Corden’s guests will submit to all sorts of unusual punishment for the sake of comedy. They sing at the top of their lungs in the passenger seat of a moving car. They’ll even stand behind a fiberglass partition while Corden launches food at them. Last night, Nick Jonas gamely joined Corden for a sketch in which he plays not just a Late Late Show intern—but a very, very bad one.

The sketch begins when Corden complains about his empty mug.

“This mug’s completely empty,” he says. “Why is my—sorry, I was a bit parched. We’ll start again. Can I get some water in here? It’s a simple thing, isn’t it? The interns here, they basically have one job and they can’t even get that right.”

Jonas emerges with a bottle of water and fills Corden’s cup. Then James asks for a pastry and Jonas digs one out of his pocket—promising it’s fine to eat, except for a few hairs.
